“DESIGN IS THE SILENT AMBASSADOR OF YOUR BRAND.”
BY PAUL RAND

This new commercial project, Huippu, has been developed for “Brix Dessert Bar” at two locations: the One Bangkok branch and the Central Ladprao branch. The design concept reflects the brand identity of Brix Dessert Bar through the use of a blue color palette, evoking a sense of playfulness, joy, and tranquility. To balance the cool tones, light wood elements have been incorporated, introducing warmth and a natural connection while softening the overall atmosphere. Additionally, patterns, forms, and signage inspired by the brand’s name and logo are thoughtfully integrated throughout the design to reinforce brand recognition. Plan For the BRIX project’s layout plans, we chose to depart from Huippu’s signature arch-shaped design elements. Instead, the design primarily draws inspiration from the geometric forms found in the BRIX logo. This approach results in a layout characterized by a clean, simple aesthetic, achieved through the use of straight and diagonal lines. Such a layout is well-suited for a commercial space, where accommodating various furniture requirements is essential. To enhance visibility for customers, traditional walls on the façade have been replaced with fencing elements. Design Detail One Bangkok Branch To conceal the existing columns, blue metal panels combining vertical zig-zag and horizontal mesh patterns are employed. This distinctive material and pattern are consistently used for the fencing along the store’s façade, reinforcing a cohesive and recognizable visual identity. The same blue mesh panels are also applied to the suspended ceiling, effectively hiding electrical and mechanical infrastructure. The design prominently features a blue color palette, which extends to key elements such as lighting fixtures. This not only draws customer attention but also strengthens the brand’s identity. The use of blue evokes a sense of playfulness and tranquility, reflecting the brand’s core values. To soften the bold presence of blue, a light wood tone is introduced in the cashier area, offering warmth and creating an inviting focal point. The counter is further accentuated by a custom blue-painted pattern inspired by the letter "B" from the "BRIX" logo, serving as a signature design feature. Moreover, the blue furniture in this project is customize to align with its design philosophy. A blue logo on the kitchen door subtly marks the division between public and private zones. Meanwhile, two different flooring materials - gray-blue marble tiles for the dining area and SPC wood for the order area - are used to define spatial functions clearly. Square signage and visual merchandising, inspired by the brand logo, is strategically positioned to guide customer focus and enhance brand recognition throughout the space. Ladprao Branch The exterior is dedicated entirely to a blue color palette, while the interior features light wood tones accented with blue patterns. The storefront façade incorporates blue panels with three distinctive designs: a vertical zig-zag pattern, a mesh-like texture, and a motif inspired by sprinkles. These elements serve as fencing and also enhance visual appeal. The same blue zig-zag patterns are applied throughout the entire cashier counter and kitchen area, creating a cohesive visual identity. Blue acrylic panels are installed above this section, reinforcing the brand’s core values, while also helping to balance and soften the strong and bold atmosphere. Three different flooring materials are used to define the functional zones: SPC wood with subtle blue accents in the main dining area, blue tiles in the central zone, and white tiles for the rear dining space. Each area features distinct design highlights. In the main dining space, the wood and blue flooring combination creates a strong visual identity. A custom pattern inspired by the letter “B” is integrated into the central zone, guiding the customer’s line of sight toward both the dining areas. In the back section, where white tones dominate the walls and flooring, the blue and wooden furniture becomes the focal point. As with the One Bangkok branch, signage is strategically placed throughout the space to guide customers and reinforce brand recognition.
